2008 Best of Boston Bakery Award
We are thrilled to be honored with two awards from the Best of Boston issue of Boston Magazine: Best Bakery Sweets and Best Neighborhood Sweet - South Boston. We thank all of our wonderful customers for their loyal patronage and support over the past years and we send a huge shout out to the entire Flour Bakery staff as well for the incredible efforts they put in every day to make Flour shine.

Welcome Whit!
We are so very excited to announce the promotion of Whit Rutherford as the new manager at Flour on Washington Street. Whit has been training with our general manager Aaron for the past many months and he brings to us incredible dedication, passion, and enthusiasm for offering the best service and hospitality we can at Flour. Welcome Whit and congratulations!

Rooibos lattes now being offered
A hot new craze is sweeping the tea landscape and we're jumping on board to introduce this new product to you. Rooibos is an herbal red tea from South Africa that has a citrus like sweetness with a natural vanilla taste. It's very healthy and has no caffeine; we're serving these as small lattes, cold or hot. Mark our tea vendor for MEM tea made a bunch of these for us to try a few weeks back and all of us fell in love with this new drink. We're excited to be able to offer it to our customers.

Going Green
Flour is well on our way to becoming a greener bakery and cafe. We've just joined the Green Restaurant Association and over the course of the next few months we'll be meeting with members from the GRA to learn how we can improve our operations so that they are more environmentally friendly. Once we've implemented their suggestions we'll be a certified green restaurant. Check out the website at www.dinegreen.com. Thank you to Chef Corey for leading the way on this initiative!

If you would like to order sticky buns to be shipped, please see our "shipping sticky buns" area on the catering page. If you would like to enjoy at sticky bun at the bakery, due to high demand we recommend you call in advance and pre-order your bun. Thank you!

New recipes
We are always looking to improve our pastries at Flour and we spend a lot of time tasting (someone's got to do it!) and testing. We are also on a particularly active testing frenzy lately because of the upcoming cookbook (see below). We recently changed the chocolate cupcake recipe and we'd love to know what you think!

We have a sister restaurant called Myers+Chang featuring Chef Alison Hearn's delicious Asian food in a fun and funky setting. Check out the menu at www.myersandchang.com and come pay us a visit. We're just down the street from Washington Street Flour and a quick easy drive away from Farnsworth Street Flour.
